We can offer a number of different options to schools looking to get involved, from weekly after school sessions to summer training camps and activity days, and much much, more.
Our favourite option is RYA On Board Sessions, where schools have a 3 hour after school session a week for blocks of 6-10 weeks to bring kids down to learn. Over the course of these sessions kids will become handy sailors and windsurfers under the supervision of our RYA Instructors. On the back of this we then run our own On Board Summer Sailing and Windsurfing Clubs, providing the opportunity for kids to further develop the skills they have learned. We then work with local clubs to help them find a place within the youth sailing programmes, and entering into club life, and for windsurfing they can join our own Bay of Colwyn Barbarians, our thriving youth windsurfing club.
We are keen to see teachers getting involved in training so that they can take more of a lead role in the delivery of sessions, which will make the activities cheaper and therefore even more accessible. We aim to help them gain skills and qualifications which will lead to them eventually being qualified instructors. This is a great way to learn a new skill.
